  2. Does an otolaryngologist do exploratory surgery on ears? When I was younger my parents had exploratory surgery done on my left ear to see what was causing my deafness. They didn't see anything wrong, so what could be causing the deafness? We still haven't figured it out and I would really like to know what it could be!
